The DCL cabinets are the “heart” of the DC grid. In short it consist of two rails for + and – to which all different inverters and the power storage (battery bank) are connected. The current and the voltage inside the cabinet are very high and very dangerous ,if exposed, and hence there are of course also fuses, breakers and rigorous restrictions when it comes to maintain or repair anything inside those. Apart from the current rails and connection points to consumers the DCL cabinet also have built in filters and other means to control voltage and current to keep the system stable.
